The story of Haut-Brion begins like all the best wine stories do, with great terroir. Wine Spectator takes a look back at the time-tested vineyard, with a site already known during the Roman empire, a reputation for top-quality wines since at least the 1600s and fans such as John Locke and Thomas Jefferson.
