Any discussion about wine and health raises the topic of wine’s connections to cancer risk. Let’s be clear: Studies have shown that alcohol consumption is associated with a higher risk of certain cancers, particularly cancers of the breast, colon, liver, mouth and throat. That said, studies have also linked moderate wine drinking with reduced risk of other cancers, as well as type 2 diabetes and kidney disease. Read more.
